Locator - Electronic directory of coordinates and time offsets. Galaxy.Locator astrological program
Astrological program Locator (Galaxy.Locator) is designed to determine the geographical coordinates of settlements around the globe, and calculate time zone in these settlements taking into account the tables and time offsets from UTC.
Use of alternative time offset tables allows to determine the time zone with a great certainty. If there is difference between the alternative time offset tables, the program gives warning that different sources give different data. At the same time, it should be more careful in some or other time offset.
This astrological program is included in
Galaxy - Astrological Tools astrological software package
Locator Algorithm and many search modes make it unique astrological software that has no analogues in the world.

| Benefits of Locator
Use of time tables in astrological programs
Each astrology program has a set of tables to determine the time offsets. Upon astrologer's request in the form of a city item and date-time it produces time offset from UTC.
The set may be relevant or not, right or wrong. An astrologer does not know about it. As a result, it is possible to use incorrect time offset.
Use of time tables in Galaxy astrology programs
Galaxy astrology programs have several sets of alternative tables to determine the time offsets. Upon astrologer's request in form of a city item and date-time it produces:
- one time offset if all alternative tables show the same;
- several time offsets if there are discrepancies in the time offset tables. At the same time a warning is issued
In Galaxy astrology programs the wrong time offset is unlikely for use.
